Aluminum Foil Bag refers to multi-layer laminated bags that take aluminum foil or metallized film as the barrier layer. They generally consist of a printed layer, barrier layer and heat seal layer.
They deliver great protection against light, oxygen and moisture. Their barrier power exceeds clear plastic films by over 10 times.
For food products, this massive boost in barrier performance greatly extends shelf life, so they are widely adopted across the food industry.
The metallic aluminum layer sits sandwiched between the printed outer layer and inner heat-seal PE layer. It never touches outside or the food contents inside, making it fully safe for use.
The core purpose of packaging bags is to keep contents in proper storage conditions, so picking the right material matters a lot. Different materials block light, moisture and oxygen to varying degrees. (Higher scores mean better barrier performance)

The following is a brief overview of different Aluminum foil types and their traits.
Aluminum boasts all-round outstanding properties, making it the best pick for barrier layers, with a standard thickness of 7 microns. Opaque and silvery white with reflective surfaces, it excels in barrier performance, heat sealing, light blocking, high and low temperature resistance, oil resistance and aroma retention.
VMPET(Vacuum Metallized PET) uses PET as base film, formed via vacuum aluminum plating. It combines flexible plastic film traits with metallic properties. Its coated aluminum layer blocks light and UV rays, keeps oxygen and water vapor out to lengthen product shelf life, and adds metallic luster for better package appearance.
VMCPP (Vacuum Metallized CPP) merges the strengths of CPP film and metallic aluminum. It features shiny surface, strong light shielding and tight sealing, effectively blocking gas and water vapor with reliable barrier capability. It seals firmly at low heat-sealing temperatures, and is widely used for potato chip packaging.
VMOPP stands for Vacuum Metalized OPP. It takes OPP as base material, with a thin nano aluminum layer vacuum-deposited on one film side. It blocks light, oxygen and moisture well, and is a fully PP-based recyclable metallized film.
VMPLA (Vacuum Metalized PLA) is produced in high-vacuum equipment.
High-purity aluminum gets heated into aluminum atoms, which evenly settle onto one side of PLA film and form a nano-scale aluminum barrier layer.
The finished metallized film blocks light and outside substances, and can fully break down through biological processes.
The thicker the material, the better its barrier properties.

Built-in zip strip lets users reseal bags repeatedly. It locks out air and moisture, keeping inner goods fresh after each opening. Easy to grip and close by bare hands.
All four bag edges adopt curved corners instead of sharp cuts. No sharp edges scratch hands or pierce outer packaging during transport and daily use. Safer for all consumers.
Small pre-cut notch sits at the bag top. It guides quick, clean tearing without scissors, saving time when people want to access contents fast.
MakePac have a variety of enhancement equipment that can achieve all post-processing effects.
Choose the best flexible bag style that suits your product needs. Our flexible packaging solutions are not just containers; they are powerful advertisements that communicate your brand’s message effectively.
Makepac can do digital, flexo and gravure printing options depending on your requirements.
MakePac Offer various kinds of choices: transparent, aluminum foil, kraft paper, recycable or others.
Choose the most suitable custom packaging bag for your product. We offer all styles.
Making your packaging bags more attractive and visually appealing is definitely a good choice.
Retortable pouches material is PA/AL/RCPP, they can withstand sterilization under high heat and pressure at 121℃ or 135℃. The aluminum foil layer fully blocks light and offers supreme protection against oxygen and moisture. These pouches are mostly used for cooked food, braised snacks, meat products, medicinal soups and sauces requiring high-temperature sterilization.
The surface has a metallic sheen and is opaque (pure aluminum foil is completely opaque, VMPET is semi-opaque).
It can be paired with hot stamping and partial matte finish to enhance the high-end feel.
By selecting different types of zippers, such as dustproof zippers, childproof zippers, and Velcro zippers, we can make the packaging bags more suitable for packaging your products.
